Narrative

Charles E. Dyment, born October 1887, is in the PEI Baptismal Index as the son of John Dyment, but his parents were Robert Dyment and Margaret Murray. He was baptized in the Bideford Methodist Church on 5 January 1887, the same day that Robert Dyment had Alex, born March 1887, baptized. The entries on the image of the original church record are at the bottom of a page and difficult to read, but it seems that the fathers' names were reversed: Charles with Robert and Alexander with John. There is also a problem with the date, as on later records, Charles gave his date of birth as 13 November 1887.

Charles was identified as a son in the household of Robert Dyment in the 1891 census. He, along with his family, went to the United States in 1892.

Charles Elwood Dyment, age 22, married Annie Roy on 19 Apr 1909 in Concord, New Hampshire. He was the son of Robert Dyment and Margaret Murray. Annie Roy was also 22, the daughter of John Roy and Marceline Ouellette.

Charles was living with his mother-in-law, Masseline Roy, his wife Annie and infant daughter in 1910 in Concord, New Hampshire. In 1930, he and Annie had a family of 8 living at home. Charles was the yard foreman in a lumber yard.
In the 1940 census, Charles Dyment was living in Ward 4, Concord, Concord City, Merrimack, New Hampshire, United States, age 53 and married.
