Guardian 1938 - SATURDAY-The funeral oi Mrs. John Proud was held Saturday afternoon from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Harry McNevln. 135 Elm Ave.

When her husband, a vet of the Boer and First World War, died in 1929, he was survived by five daughters: Mrs Nelson Hooper, Mrs William Welsh (Ethel), Mrs Harry McNevin (Eva), Mrs Alear (Alyre) Arsenault (Edna)of ch'town; Mrs W. B. Almond, Saskatoon and two sons, Melvin, Charlottetown and Lester in Regina.

Melvin died in an accident in 1930.

Edna, Mrs Alyre Arsenault, died February 1939 at age 38. She was survived by 4 sisters, and one brother Lester.
