A bill was filed in chancery today applying for a divorce of Archibald Meshrow from his wife Emeline. The bill was filed by Lawyer Thomas Brown representing Mr. Meshrow. The grounds for the suit are desertion, it being charged that Mrs. Meshrow has been living apart from her husband for the statutory period of two years.
Mr. and Mrs. Meshrow have been separated for the past two years. Mr. Meshrow is well known here. He is an assistant to his father, Christopher Meshrow, a former excise commissioner who conducts a daily messenger service between this city and New York. Mrs. Meshrow came from Rahway.
During the period his wife has been away from him, Mr. Meshrow has been residing with his father. His wife has been with other relatives out of town in the vicinity of Newark.
Unable to find Emeline in the SSDI; she was in the Hartford directory in 1946, but not in 1949.
