Note

Last rites for John W.Ellis, 90, were held here. A resident of this area for 66 years he died in a local hoospital. He was born in Canada and came to this area with the Northern Pacific railroad in 1889. He was railway section boss at Horton for 6 years. He ranched near Horton and in 1903 began ranching near Hathaway. He retired in 1940. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Reubina M. Bell of Wiemar, California, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
