Howard Ramsay of Hamilton passed to his reward on Nov 17 1948 after a period of failing health in the 82nd year of his life, well known and highly respected in this whold countryside. born in 1867, the eldest in the family of the late James ("Reporter") and his wife Elizabeth Ramsay...
He sang acceptably in the church choir for over 60 years...
He leaves to mourn besides his wife, nee Florence MacDougall of Victoria West) two sons, Douglas of Toronto and James on the homestead and two daughters, Mrs. Whitfield Ellis (Hazel) of Sheffield Mills NS and Helen of Prince of Wales College, Charlottetown. also sister Mrs. W. D. Burgess of Waterville NS, and three brothers: Rev. Dr. J. A. Ramsay of Moncton, Rev. E. H. Ramsay of Saint John, and Fred W. of Hamilton. A brother Fulton of O'Leary and a sister Mrs. F. J. Lockerby of Hamilton predeceased him.
