The community of Bedeque was saddened to hear on the afternoon of April 5th of the death, at her home of Mrs. W. F. MacFarlane, the former Irene Turner oi Tyne Valley. Although the deceased had been in failing health for the past two years yet she was seriously ill but a short time. It could be truely said of her that she was a mother in Israel, always willing to help any person in need. She took an active part in all affairs beneficial to the community...There are left to cherish her memory besides her sorrowing husband one daughter, Doris, Mrs G. H. Phillips, Summerside, and three sons, Howard in Vancouver, BC; Neil in Summerside and Arthur on the homestead.
