On the 1891 census, Maria Caroline said that both of her parents were born in England, and on the 1930 US census she said her father was born in Wales. "The late Mrs. Wickett was a daughter of the late James and Charlotte Boundy Haywood and was born in Northam, Lot 13, P.E.I., on Sept. 11, 1859. "
Another source indicates that her father was William, and in the 1881 census there was a William Haywood, born in England with wife Charlotte. Maria Caroline's older brother and sister both gave their mother's maiden name as Charlotte Boundy on marriage records.
