DEATH: OWEN - On the 8th ultimo, suddenly, Arthur Owen, Esq., universally regretted - He was an affectionate husband, a tender parent and a valuable friend.

Description During the Administration of Governor Fanning, the petitioner applied for Grants for Pasture Lots 95, 69, 68, 72, 71, and 70 in Prince Town Royalty, but the grants were not signed by the Governor. Petitioner later applied to Governor DesBarres and obtained a License of Occupation for the above mentioned lots. When the terms of the License Expired, the petitioner applied to the late President for Grants of the same Lots in the following names: Pasture Lot No. 95 to Thomas Owen, No. 69 to William Wallace and Lot No. 68 to both Thomas and William; and Pasture Lot No. 72 to Arthur Owen Junr., No. 71 to George Owen, and No. 70 to both Arthur and George. The Grants were ordred to be made out, but the petitioner has not yet been able to obtain them. Requests that the said grants be made, and notes that he "has paid the Greater part of the fees on the said Grants."
