In 1900, Alfred and Adeline were still in Minnesota with daughter Gladys and son Clarence. They had been married 11 years. Adelaide said she had had 4 children, of whom 3 were living.

In 1910, children at home were Mabel, Gladys, Clarence, Lila, Mildred. Also in the household was John J. Rawleigh, a nephew.

In 1920, Gladys (27), Clarence (24), Lela m. (19), Mildred E. (16) and Howard J. (5), all born in Minnesota, were living with their parents.

Alfred and his family were in Richardville, Kittson, Minnesota in 1930 and 1940. Alfred E. Ramsay was a widower in 1940.

In 1937, he was in Orleans, Minnesota.

Howard and Clarence, and their sisters Mrs Takbam and Mrs Copp drove with their father to visit relatives on the Island in 1946.
