Possibly the Agnes Mattison (Mollison), widow, who married John McArthur in 1865 with Alex Miller and Alex McArthur as witnesses. Minister was W R Frame - a 1864 directory lists Richmond Bay East, and Summerside - Rev. W. R. Frame, Presbyterian Church.

Agnes Millar, w/o John McArthur, is on the same gravestone as Alexander Millar and his wife Janet Crombie in Tyne Valley. From their dates, they were more likely to be Agnes' parents.

The Islander January 1865: On Thursday evening, the 12th inst. by the same, at the residence of Mr. Alexander Miller, Lot 13, father of the bride, Mr. John McArthur, of Lot 11, to Mrs. Agnes Mollison, of the former place.

According to the entry on Alexander Millar in A Century of Farewells, her married name should have been Mollison. "Alexander, Sr. and Janet Millar had the following family: Agnes (1826-1885), m. Sea Mills, Burntisland, Fifeshire, Scotland, 1 Jan. 1848, (i) John Mollison, Sr. (1823-1855), resided Sea Mills and "The Kirkton," Fifeshire; she later emigrated to P.E.I. and m. (ii) John MacArthur, resided Poplar Grove, Lot 12 ".

In 1861, Agnes was the head of household , occupation Grocer, and her daughter Janet, and a 2 year old described as her son, William Bannerman.

McArthur Agnes (The [Summerside] Pioneer, 8 Sept. 1885) d. Poplar Grove, Lots 11/12, P.E.I., very suddenly, of English Cholera, on 29 Aug. 1885, in 59th year. Beloved wife of John McArthur. A native of Scotland. Emigrated to P.E.I. in 1862 and was highly respected.
