Daughter of Donald Ramsay and Catherine Anderson.

It is hard to say exactly when Charlotte was born. Donald Ramsay, Lot 14, had a daughter Charlotte baptized on 6 August 1837, no date of birth given. Charlotte Ramsay Anderson gave her date of birth on the 1901 census - 25 Oct 1846. She was living with her daughter J. Mary, born 22 August 1881. On the 1921 census, she was 94.

However, for Charlotte to have died at the age of 100 in 1925, her date of birth would be closer to 1825, which would have been a couple of years before her parent's marriage.

ALEXANDER ANDERSON (1822 - June 13, 1892) son of ROBERT and MARY (Ramsay) ANDERSON - Rt. 6, Stanley Bridge m. CHARLOTTE RAMSAY (1824 - Feb. 3, 1925) The Anderson family was involved in shipbuilding as well as farming on the Mill River Road. The Anderson Shipyard (also called "Shipyard Point") was well known in the ship-building business. This location would be a second shipyard as they already had one at Anderson's Creek.
Andrew Ramsay, from Alberton, nephew of Charlotte, farmed the property for a number of years after Alexander Anderson died. (Andrew Ramsay, born Dec 1879, was a cousin who was living with Charlotte in 1911.)
In 1926 the farm was sold to Richard Woolner.
ALEXANDER and CHARLOTTE had three children.
1. Lina (1856-1930) not married - lsolena Lena Anderson
2. William (1875-1895)
3. Mary (1880-1922) m. Fred Bennett {see Bennett}
