From Bucky's Facebook memorial: I've taken the liberty of borrowing a picture from this site, mainly because the connection between the Dyment descendants and horses seems to be a strong one. See "Alfred Bucky Day in Memory" on facebook.

I'm not sure where I found this:
Grew up in New Hampshire where racing horses on Beaver Pond during the winter grew into a sport in those parts. Father Theodore "Buck" Day, mother Mary Abbie West Day. Had one brother Charles Day and sisters Mildred Day Battis, Hazel Day Sweet, Lois Day Bruno.
Met and married Lillian Crawford Day from Toronto, Canada. Had five children. Married Nancy Brown Day and had one daughter.

The actual businesss of harness horse driving grew with brother Charles driving also and nephew Paul Battis joined the circuit and it became a friendly competitive family business. In the winters there was no horse racing so made money buying and selling riding horses at auctions. Would take daughter and son at times. Other family members at times would come to the track to learn about grooming.

Alfred "Bucky"Day 1929-1985 Well known harness horse driver in the New England circuit. The business continues with brother Charles, son Roly, daughter Jane Day, nephew Paul Battis and nephew Ron Battis.
