Howard was the son of Jabez Dyment and Evelyn Perry.

Irene C. Dyment, 98, of Concord, died June 10, 2005. She was born in Chicopee, Mass., the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Paquette) Brochu. Mrs. Dyment worked as a waitress for most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard P. Dyment; and her son, Howard "Red" Dyment. She is survived by one niece, two nephews; and her daughter-in-law.

Dyment family genealogies give Howard two marriages:

Marriage 1 Armanda M. `Belanger` DAUPHIN b: 14 JUN 1926 (in 1965?)

Marriage 2 Irene Clara BROCHU b: 1906 Married: 19 OCT 1940

Howard was living with his father and step-mother in the 1930 US census, giving his status as single. On his marriage to Irene, he indicated that it was his first marriage. Irene's obituary gives the impression that they were married at the time of his death. Unable to verify the second marriage.
