Eliza could be the daughter of Margaret Sullivan, from Lot 13, PEI. Eliza was age 14 in the 1861 census.

Eliza's place of birth was PEI on the 1871 and the 1901 census (Lot 13, PEI on this census). In 1891, she said both of her parents were born on the Island. She married Asa Howell, also from PEI, after the death of her first husband, Peter Campbell. Around the same time, and by the same minister, an Alexander McDougall from Lot 13 PEI married Alice Howell, but I haven't been able to find a connection between Alexander and Eliza, or Asa and Alice.

The death of Mrs Howell, widow of the late Asa Howell of Bass River, Kent County occurred on Friday, Jan 13th at the home of her daughter Mrs Ezekial Nickerson at Forest Glen, Westmoreland Co. She was twice married. Her first husband was Mr Peter Campbell of Bass River, her second was Mr Asa Howell of the same place. Mrs Howell, who was 64 years old, leaves to mourn their loss 4 sons and 3 daughters,
