One newspaper item said she was John's eldest daughter.
The McNeill family was in Lot 12 in the 1891 Census of Canada. Euphemia did not give her complete date of birth in the 1901 census, and her year of birth was 1835, 10 years earlier than the year she gave on other census records.
Euphemia died in 1902, leaving her husband and five sons and four daughters.
