Son of Lemuel Ramsay and Hannah Penrose McDougall.

History of Northam says that Hugh married sisters, Nettie and Melvina Harrington, and that Hugh went out west. It looks more likely that Nettie and Melvina were cousins, if they were related at all.

Nettie was the daughter of Peter Warren. In 1911, she was living with her grandfather, William Harrington.

Hugh married Nettie Warren in 1916, and Hugh and Nettie were in Saskatchewan in 1921. Nettie's obit says she was Nettie Warren, and that she and Hugh lived for 5 years in Regina before returning to the East. She died suddenly in Maine.

 

Along the North Shore, page 410 says Melvina, daughter of John Harrington, married Hugh Ramsay. She was living with her mother in Lot 11 in 1921.
