Hugh and Peggy should have had a son named David after her father. I've only seen the transcription of this baptismal record. Handwritten names like Donald/David/Daniel were sometimes mis-transcribed on early records, so possible that this son was actually David.

Donald was not one of the brothers who signed the land agreement with the rest of the family in 1859. This suggests he was dead by 1859; Alexander was the eldest son listed, and George, who lived in New Brunswick, was named in the document, so living on the Island wasn't necessary for being named on the conveyance.
