See Guardian June 8 1934, page 1. The article in the Guardian about Malcolm's death only mentioned a marriage to Margaret Morrison, who had predeceased him.

There was a marriage of Malcolm, son of Thomas and Hannah, in Massachusetts in 1891 to Kate Sheehan. It was his second marriage. In the 1900 US census, Kate and Malcolm were in Massachusetts with two daughters, Mary and Nellie. There were two older children, Alford (Alfred) and Margaret.

Malcolm left his family sometime before 1910.

In 1910, Catherine/Kate was living with her step-son Alfred. She had been married 18 years, with 2 children, 2 living. Malcolm was not living with them.

The newspaper article named only his brother John and two sisters, Mrs [Elizabeth] Palmer and Mrs John H Yeo, and several nephews and nieces.

The newspaper wrote that he was a son of the late Thomas Ramsay of Lot 11, and had been a widower for over forty years, his wife having been been Margaret Morrison, Lot 12. About forty years ago Mr. Ramsay went to live in Ohio, where he remained until his return to the Island in 1932 - (he obviously didn't tell anyone about his second marriage, or his children) and I wasn't able to find him in Ohio in census records.

A coroner's jury returned a verdict of accidental drowning at the adjourned inquest yesterday afternoon on the body of Malcolm Ramsay, found in the marsh at the mouth of the Wilmot River by Alban Leckie on Thursday afternoon. The verdict is as follows: “We the undersigned jurors empanelled to enquire into the death of an unknown person found on Leckies Shore about 3 p. in. Thursday, June 7th...Guardian June 1934
