Note
A daughter Catherine came from other McArthur family trees. There was a daughter of about the right age in the 1861 census, name unknown, probably born on the Island.
None of the ten marriages for a Catherine McArthur in PEI Marriage Registers and PEI Marriages fits with this Catherine.
She was not in the 1881 census, and was not mentioned in the admin papers for her father's estate. It seems likely that if there was a daughter Catherine, she died before that date. She was not a surviving daughter in her mother Elizabeth's obituary.
If she did marry before the 1881 census, the 33 grand-children mentioned in Elizabeth Abbott's obituary are all accounted for, so she had no surviving childrn.
