Isaac Burns, son of James and Annabelle (Gillespie) Burns; b. ca. 1874; d. 19 Nov. 1938; m. 28 June 1899, Margaret MacFadyen of Riverdale. She d. 23 Mar. 1947 aet, 72 yrs. Isaac inherited the family farm, and made many improvements to the buildings, and the farm in general (code 59).
They had three ch. surname Burns.

Ralph Burns, son of Isaac and Margaret (MacFadyen) Burns, b. 25 Oct. 1901; m. 29 Nov. 1939 Annie Elizabeth Cousins, dau. of William Benjamin and Christy Ann (Todd) Cousins. She was b. 26 July 1909.
Ralph grew up in Lower Freetown and in 1923 went to U.S.A. to find employment. In 1927 he went to Western Canada on a Harvest Excursion, an expedition which attracted a number of young men at that time. It was in 1930 that he returned to P.E.I, to work on the home farm. Ralph inherited this farm at his fathers death, and in 1985 is still looking after the buildings and garden. This farm has been in the Burns family for one hundred and seventy-five years.
