My Family Tree

There were two David Sullivans born around 1824 and baptized in Richmond Parish. One was the son of David Sullivan Sr. and Peggy Campbell; the other was the son of Thomas Sullivan and Ann Ramsay. I have placed this David with Thomas and Ann, but other family trees placed him with David and Peggy.

David used a middle initial R - possible he was David Ramsay Sullivan?

David lived in Lot 13. In 1849, he married Mary Julia Ellis. Robert Ramsay was a witness. David and Mary Julia had 9 children: Eliza, Louisa, Annabelle, William, Annie, Edward, James, Robert and Hugh. Mary Julia died in 1895.

David married again, to Sophia Warfield, who was over 50 years younger than him.

In his will, David left money to his wife Sophia; children named were son James E.; daughter Annie, wife of John Forbes; Annabella wife of Norman McPhail; sons Edward and William E.; in a later codicil he left almost everything to Sophia.
