Notes
Note
Angus Ramsay and George McDonald were witnesses at the marriage of Flora Ramsay and Hugh McDonald in Richmond Parish, PEI. William McGregor was the Presbyterian minister.
A Currie family tree on the Island Register says their daughter Nancy Annie married John Currie, and the marriage record indicates that the bride and groom were from Lot 8. Samuel McDonald was a witness.
Hugh McDonald in Lot 8 was a farmer in 1861, with a household of 7, all Presbyterians, all born on the Island. There was a married couple, probably the man and woman aged 45-60.
Next to Augustin McDonald.
A farmer in Lot 8 in an 1871 directory.
Hugh McDonald wrote his will in 1877, leaving his farm to his son Michael, and some livestock to an unmarried daughter, Annabella. The witnesses were Donald Ramsay, Lot 14, who had died, and Samuel McDonald, who had gone to the States by the time the will was filed for probate by Michael, in 1895.
One of the first elders of the Presbyterian Church in Lot 7.
