Note

Neal Sinclair of Malpeque married Eliza McDougald of Bideford? New Brunswick? in the Church of England, St. Eleanors, 9 November 1849. He was a bachelor and she was a spinster. However, that wouldn't account for a son William, born in 1843, unless William was adopted or from a previous relationship.

There is a Neil in the 1861 census of Lot 18, with a male between the ages of 16-21, and a man 45-60. There were three women - one in the 16-21 category, and 2 45-60. These could be daughters, or some of Neil's unmarried sisters.

There was only one married person, perhaps an indication that Neil was a widower, and 4 singles.

Probably the Neil Sinclair Lot 18 whose will was dated 24 Feb 1874.
