On Monday the 27th inst at the early age of 17 years and 4 months at the residence of Mr Wm. Hodgson, Malpeque from an unusually severe and protracted attack of Diptheria which he bore throughout with singular fortitude and in the spirit of true Christian resignation John Keir Owen second youngest son of the late Mr John Owen of the same place. Mr Owen was not only a young man of promise but one who at the same time enjoyed the unqualified esteem of the whole community in which he lived. Patriot 1 Nov 1873
