Note
A son named John Albert was baptized in 1867. In the 1881 census, he was age 17.
In George Matthew's obituary, his brother Albert was training with the CEF to go overseas. John Albion Matthews, who said he was born in 9 August 1873 in Summerside, gave his brother Russell H. Matthews, in Sussex, NB, as his contact. He went to France with a labour batn., and was discharged in December 1918 as being overage.
Working backwards, he was probably the John A. Matthews, born PEI on 19 August 1867, a carpenter in New Brunswick.
