FUNERAL OF ADA ELDER

Funeral services for Miss Ada Elder were attended by a large gathering of relatives and friends at her mother's home at 70 Hammond street on, Monday. Miss Elder's passing away is of interest because of the quiet influence for good which her life exerted over all those who knew her. Her career was in no way spectacular. She came to Cambridge from Moncton, N. like many other girls who have come to Greater' Boston from the Maritime provinces to make their own way But rising above all difficulties, she rejoiced in a life of continuous service to others. Her unselfish, sunny character made a lasting impression on all those about her. Rev, E. A. McGarey, of the First Presbyterian Church, of Cambridge, who conducted the funeral services based a beautiful sermon on her simple but potent career. Miss Elder is survived by her mother. Mrs. Julia Ann Elder (nee MacArthur). of Cambridge, her sister. Mrs. Anne E. Griffin; of Brunswick, Me., and her brothers, John Elder of Meredith, N. H.. , Edgar Elder and Daniel. C. Elder, of Cambridge, and Alexander H.. Elder, of New York. The Interment was at Mount Auburn Cemetery. The' floral offerings Were many and beautiful. Mrs. Maude MacArthur sang "Jesus, Lover of My Soul." and ".Some Time We'll Understand.',
