Alexander H. Elder, formerly president of the Prospect Union, paid a short visit to the home of his mother. Mrs. Alexander Elder, at 70 Hammond street, last week. Mr. Elder until recently was chief of the Divicion of Prosecution of the Interstate Commerce Commission. He resigned from that position In June to become assistant general counsel of the Central Railroad, of New Jersey. Mr. Elder's Office is In New York City, but he resides In Plainsfield, NJ

Cambridge Chronicle 1911: The following account of the marriage of A. H. Elder, president of the Prospect union, and Mrs. Helen Walker is taken from a Burlington (Vt.) paper: "The wedding of Mrs. Helen Walker and Alexander Elder, of Cumbridge, Mass., took place at the bride's residence, 274 Pearl street, last evening. A small gathering of friends were present. Rev. C. V. Orlsmer, pastor of the Methodist church, performed the ceremony. The bridal couple was unattended. The bride's gown was a blue satin with a gold lace yoke and gold lace applique. She carried a bouquet of bridal roses. After the ceremony a collation was served under the direction of Miss Lucia Andrews, Mrs. M. MacLaughlin and Mrs. F. B. Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Elder will be at home at Cambridge, Mass., after May 1. Mrs. Elder, who has been a resident of this city several years, is well and favorably known here. The groom is a Boston lawyer, with offices of 70 State Street. He is a Harvard graduate and also an alumnus of the Harvard Law school. He was famous in college athletics and was a member of the Lacrosse team of 1907 which won the intercollegiate championship and had the distinction of being received by President Roosevalt at White house. Mr. Elder, in his college days, was also a debater of note and a member of the Harvard debating team of 1906-07 which won the joint debate with Yale. He is prominent in educational work and is now president of the Prospect union of Cambridge, a large club organized for educational and social purposes." . Second wife was Wilhelmina M., possibly Erdman. Had a step-daughter Ida, but no other children by 1940 US census.

Alexander and Wilhelmina were in the Montclair NJ city directory in 1959.
