Wilson Ramsay, 53, formerly of Torrington and a member of Co. M, 102nd Regiment, 26th Division, died at the Veterans' Hospital, Long Beach Calif on Memorial Day. Born at Pittsfield, Maine, the son of the late Maj. and Mrs James A Ramsay he spent his early days in Torrington. During WW1 he served overseas with company M, and was wounded twice during the battles of Toul and Verdun. He leaves his wife and daughter; two brothers, James Ramsay of Rockville Centre, Long Island and John H. Ramsay of Danielson. Hartford Courant, 4 June 1953 pg 34
