Note

The William Ramsay who died in Park Corner on September 18 1922 had a twin sister Charity, Mrs. Peter Ferguson. They were the last of a family of seven sons and four daughters of the late Archibald Ramsay.

He leaves to mourn his wife, formerly Miss Margaret McLeod of Valleyfield, sister of Rev. J. M. McLeod, St. Peter’s

In his will, William left everything to his wife Margaret A. B. Ramsay and asked that their adopted daughter Alice be provided with a home. Margaret, in turn, left a bequest of $500 to her sister in law, Mrs Peter Fergusson of Graham's Road. She left a similar sum in trust for Alice, "the girl she took in from a home in England", but only if the trustees deemed that Alice deserved the money. She left the bulk of the estate to her own nieces and various religious charities.
