Mr. John Archibald Barlow passed away at his home on August 4th at the age of 77 years...He was the son of the late William and Jane Barlow. There are left to mourn his widow, Mary Alice, and two daughters and six sons, namely: Mrs. Raymond H. Christain, Bristol, Conn.; Mrs. John A. Coulson, Sea View; Harold, Western Canada; Spurgeon W., Amherst, Mass.; Henry W., Iowa; Aylevard G., Summerside; John A. Jr., Wellington; James Clayton, Wellington...also 21 grandchildren.

L'ancienne maison de John Archibald "Archie" Barlow (sénior) de Wellington (Île-du-Prince-Édouard). Archie est né en 1863, le fils de William Barlow et Jane MacAusland. Il épousa Mary E. "Nellie", la fille de Humphrey Dyment et Nancy McDougald de Northam. Après le décès de Nellie en mars 1890, il épousa le 25 décembre de cette même année Alice Connell, la fille de James Connell et Sarah Gay de Fifteen Point. Archie était facteur et travailla aux moulins Barlow. Il est décédé le 4 août 1940 et Alice le 28 novembre 1961 à l'âge de 89 ans.
