From census records, it seems that the Herman in the 1891 PEI census in the household of Thomas Dyment and Mary Matilda Moore was the same son as William E. in the 1900 US census.

There is a William Dyment, b. 1891 in Canada in Tacoma, Pierce, Washington; he is single and living with another family.

In 1915, a William Dyment, from Pierce County, age 25, married Helen Fairbanks in Tacoma. In the World War 1 registrations, there is a William Herman Dyment, born May 13 1890 in PEI. He was a woodworker, in Washington State. At the time of registration he was married with two children. The family possibly moved to Oregon, where a daughter was born, and Helen Dyment died.

William Dyment, b. 1891, was back in Washington State in 1930, a widower with three children. In 1940, William was living with his son Fred, age 23.
A William H. Dyment, b. 13 May 1890, died in Tacoma Washington in 1966.
