The Islander – Apr 15, 1853 Died. At the residence of Isaac Howatt, St. Eleanor’s, on the 11th ultimo, Ann McDougald, the beloved wife of Mr. John McDouglad, Lot 16, age 77. The deceased came on a visit to her daughter about three weeks before her death. Her end was peace.
On the 1891 census, Elizabeth Milligan said that both of her parents were born on the Island.
