1917-1918 draft - Newton was supporting his mother; he was an office manager. However, on the 1930 census he indicated that he had served in WW1. He gave his occupation as press photographer.
1940 - Maynard was a newspaper photographer; he had been single in the 1930 census, and he and Dora had no children in the 1940 census. Both were in their forties.
