From an Island Refuge: "His second wife was Mary Ann Diamond who had been married to a Mr. Proude." Caleb was married for the second time in 1877.

Although some of the family trees say that some of these children were Mary Ann Diamonds, evidence points to them being Caleb and Marianne (Jenkin)'s children.

In the 1881 census, Minnie (10), Walter, Annie, Seymour, Emily and Mary (age 1). Emily and Mary died young. Children born before 1877 include Minnie, Annie, Walter, and Seymour. Emily seems to be the first child for Caleb and Mary (Diamond), born in 1879. They may all have been adopted; there is also the possibility that Minnie, Walter, Annie, and Seymour were children from Mary Diamond's first marriage.

In the 1891 census with Caleb and Mary Ann: Minnie, age 20, Walter, and Seymour (age 15).
