1933 - Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Maynard, of Northam, with their daughters, the Misses Gertrude and Helen, and Mrs. Harry Frankel, of New York City, were visitors to Charlottetown

1934: WEDDING BELLS-A wedding of much interest was aolemnized at 10 o'clock on Wednesday morning in the Anglican Church at Port Hill when Miss Gertie Maynard of Northam was united in marriage to Mr. John Jack of Summerslde. Rev. Hart Davies was the officiat- ing clergyman. The bride was dressed in blue and carried a bou- quet of autumn flowers. Immed- iately after the ceremony Mr and Mrs. Jack left for a wedding tour of Canadian and American cities. Both bride and groom are very popular.

1940:
Mrs. Edward Maynard of Northam is visiting her daughter, Mrs. John Jack and Mr. Jack, Summerside.

1946
Mr. and Mrs. John C Jack have returned to Summerside after spending the past five years in Winnipeg and Toronto.

1950 - Mrs. John C. Jack formerly of Summerside, who has- spent the past two weeks with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Maynard Northam, left by plane yesterday to spend a few days with friends in Moncton. N.B.. before returning to New York where she in employed with the brokerage film of Hayden, Stone and Co.

1953:
Mrs. Gertrude Jack arrived from New York by plane Saturday on her annual visit to her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Maynard. Northam. Mrs. Jack and her moth- er will leave August 10. on a trip to Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Detroit, Mich.

Mrs. Gertrude Jack left by car on sunday for New York after spending the past four months with her parents. She was accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Charles Newcombe who is going to visit her sister Mrs. Donald Smith in Cambridge and Mrs. Harry Frankel in New York.

 

The large Forbes home was sold and occupied from time to time by var¬ ious people including Mrs. Gertrude Jack and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Maynard, Laughlin MacLean and his sisters, Ethel Brown and Emily MacLean. (Roots and Braches)
