Most likely would be the Alexander McDugall, born May 1849 in Canada, married to Maria Douglas from NB. The notice of their marriage in the Island newspapers said the groom was A. H. Macdougald formerly of Mount Pleasant.

In the 1910 census they had been married 30 years, and had had 7 children, 6 living. Hannah, Ernest, Arthur and Nellie were at home. They said they had emigrated in 1880.

Maria and Alexander were living apart, but both in Calais Maine, in the 1920 US census. There was an additional daughter Thelma, b. 1909 in the 1920 census, but she had not been in the previous one. Thelma was probably Hannah's daughter. Maria gave her status as married, she was the head of household in a home on School Street, with Hannah, Arthur, Nellie and Thelma.

Hannah and Thelma were living in Calais in 1930 and 1940.
