On Saturday, 23 June, the whole of the Western portion of PEI was deeply stirred as the news that Mrs Ervin Ramsay had passed away spread throughout the countryside. The late Mrs Ramsey wife of Ervin Amos Ramsey of Elmsdale was married some 18 years ago. The deceased leaves to mourn her loss her husband and 6 children: Vera, Russel, Ada, Carlyle, Vernon and the baby, Ruth. Also her father and mother, Mr and Mrs William McArthur, her two brothers, John and James at home and two sisters, Mrs George Keys of Summersode and Mrs George Mathieson of Massachusetts; besides the children that aged parents of Mr Ramsey. The pall bearers were her six brothers in law, George Keys, George Matheson, George Oliver, Perley Pridham, Edward Hardy and John R. Dignan. Guardian Saturday June 30, 1928 page 10
