Margaret Ramsay married the widower Samuel Gould in 1868. Samuel's wife Mary Ellis or Mary Palmer had died in 1866, and he married again. Although his wife was Mary on this second marriage record, she was Margaret on baptismal records for their two daughters.

Perhaps he got his wives names mixed up?

Margaret Ramsay, not Mary, and Samuel Gould had 2 daughters baptized on the Island, and Margaret Gould was living with daughter Laura B. in 1881 in Summerside.

William and Margaret Fenton were in Charlottetown in 1891 with Laura Fenton, age 8. On the census record, Margaret said her father was born on the Island and her mother in Nova Scotia. She also said that she was born in Nova Scotia.

The funeral of Mrs Katherine Wilson, widow of the late John Wilson and daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret [Mary] Ramsay of Prince Edward Island was held at her daughter's residence, New Bedford. The late Mrs Wilson was survived by 6 sons and 3 daughters, also two sisters, Mrs William Fenton, Charlottetown and Mrs Joseph Turner of Westville, Pictou Co. Guardian Saturday December 16, 1911 page 11

In the 1911 census, Margaret Fenton, age 65, was the mother in law of Edward Harding, who was married to Laura. Margaret was alive when her daughter Laura died in 1915.
