On the 1880 US census, the family said that Marion was born on the Island. Marion herself said she was born in Massachusetts, and on her husband's request to become a US citizen, he said she was born in Cambridge.
She said she was born in Canada on the 1910 census, and that she had emigrated to the States in 1875.
