Note
Ellen Diamond, daughter of Moses and Maria E., emigrated to the United States in 1887, and married Allan Stuart, also from PEI, in Massachusetts in 1888. She was 20.
In the 1900 US census, Allan Stuart, wife Ella and children were living in Massachusetts. Her date of birth was July 1867, and they had been married 11 years. They had three children: Annie and Alexander (twins) and Jessie. In the 1910 US census, Ella said she had had 4 children, 3 living and that she had been married for 23 years. Allan was a conductor on the electric railroad, where he worked until his retirement.
A newspaper article about their 50th wedding anniversary listed their four children: Lulu Belle (deceased); Mrs. Leslie Tarbell (Annie) and her twin brother Charles of Waverly; and Mrs. Gilbert Therian (Jessie). The article noted that both Ella and her husband looked younger than their age.
Ella was listed as a surviving sister of her brother Charles in his obituary (1952) She was a widow in the Malden city directories for 1947 and 1948.
Mass. Death Index had an entry for Maria E. (Dyment) Stuart who died in Malden Mass. in 1957.
