Note

JOHN SIMEON GORRILL, son of Humphrey Gorrill and Eleanor Dyment, was born at Glenwood 17 November 1863. On December 21 1885 he married Florence Boulter, who was born 10 December 1863, a daughter of Nathaniel Wright Boulter and Elizabeth MacWilliams.

Florence died ten years later, on 20 January 1910, at the age of 46. Simeon then, in 1916, married Emma Grace Darrach, daughter of Duncan and Emma Darrach, of Lot 9. He was 50; she was 21. They had ten children.

He died 25 December1949. Emma died 10 April 1970.

On his marriage record in 1916, he gave his mother's name as Eleanor Diamond.
