Daughter of George Dyment and Nora Bailey.

The (partial) obituary for Nora Ann Bailey Dyment lists her children as Harry and Dorothy, Mrs. Lila Glassman, Mrs. Mattie Baker and Mrs. Nora Gordon. Seattle Daily Times February 24 1928

In his obituary, George Dyment's children were Mrs. Lila Nauss, Mrs. Nora Gordon, Mrs. Jean Barry of Spokane, Mrs. Dorothy Burke of Saranac Lake, New York. (1953).

Thomas Smith Baker, age 23, married Mattie Dyment, 18, of Seattle in 1919.

In 1920, they were married but living apart, Mattie with a Baker family - perhaps her in-laws? In 1930, Mattie was living in Los Angeles with her daughter Dorothy, age 9. She was divorced. Matie Baker, daughter of George Dyment and Nora Bailey, married Frederick Brett Stokes in 1930 in California (California marriages on familysearch.org). Stokes' father founded a well known publishing company.

Matie Stokes, born in Washington DC can be found in the 1940 US census in New York State with her daughter Dorothy Stokes, age 20. Her husband was a patient in a hospital.

Frederick Brett Stokes, husband of the late Matie Dyment Stokes of Saranac Lake died in 1946. His partial obituary in the New York Times read : "Frederick Brett Stokes, for many years an official of the Frederick A. Stokes Company, publishers, and subsequently an adviser of the J: B. Lippincott Company of ..."
