Narrative
Alfred Ramsay, age 11, was living with his mother and grandparents in Lot 13, Prince Edward Island, in 1881. I was unable to find him in the 1891 census - he may have gone to live with his father Horatio in Maine.
Harry Alfred Ramsay, age 22, married Sophia Smith on 14 Oct 1903 in Scioto, Ohio. He said he was born in Maine, the son of Horatio and Barbara Ramsay.
On census records, Harry said his parents were born in Scotland,or in Maine, but I can't find another Horatio in Maine, besides the one from PEI; there was another Horatio in Maine, but he died many years before Harry was born. And we don't know who in the family supplied the information to the census taker, or how much Harry Alfred knew about his parents.
Harry was a farmer and a gardener. He died in 1938 at the age of 68.
