Andrew, age 2, was in the household of Andrew N. Ramsay and was likely a grandson, son of Barbara Ramsay and Horatio Ramsay. His grandfather died and most of his mother's family went to the States. It isn't clear what happened to Barbara, but Horatio seems to have remarried in the States.

He could be the Andrew Ramsay, age 11, in the household of Samuel and Lilly (Taylor) McArthur in Lot 13 in 1891, a domestic. Both Samuel and Lilly had Ramsay connections. On the census form, Andrew said he could read, but he couldn't write. Then in 1901, he could be the Andrew Ramsay living with Charlotte (Ramsay) Anderson, described as a cousin. The History of Stanley Bridge says "Andrew Ramsay, from Alberton, nephew of Charlotte, farmed the property for a number of years after Alexander Anderson died."

Andrew, born in Mount Pleasant PEI about 1883, married Janie Ford in 1917 in Charlottetown. He was the son of "Rach" [Horatio] and Barbara Ramsay. In 1921, he and his wife had two daughters, Carrie and Margaret. They were living in McNeill's Mills.

Andrew Nelson Ramsay died in Cross Roads, PEI in 1949 at the age of 71. He was born in Tyne Valley.

Andy was survived by his wife the former Georgina Myers and three daughters, Carrie, Mrs George Paugh, Northam; Maude, Mrs James McKinnon, Detroit, Michigan and Helen, Mrs Albert Miller, Montreal. Another daughter predeceased him.

He was a carpenter by trade.

His widow, Georgina, filled in his death record and did not know the names of his parents.
