Ramsay, William
| Birth Name | Ramsay, William |
| Gender | male |
Notes
Note
Son of Malcolm Ramsay and Mary Murphy?
There are supposed to have been additional children in this family, whose names have been lost. This connection hasn't been proven!
There was a William Ramsay and his wife Nancy who had a daughter baptized in Bedeque in 1821. Given his location and estimated age, he would fit in the family of Malcolm and Mary.
I have given William a tentative date of birth of 1801, based on a gap in the known children in this family, and to help in searching, but it is a GUESS.
A William Ramsay was mentioned in the book Westcountrymen in Prince Edward's Isle who, in 1812, was a Master Marriner who took one of the first loads of lumber from PEI to Devon, England. This William would have had to have been born by 1782 or so - but perhaps not on the Island.
I think he is too old to have been the William Ramsay who married Catherine Ramsay in Lot 13.
