Son of Neil Ramsay and Mary Cole. George married his cousin Barbara Ramsay, daughter of Edward and Flora (McKay) Ramsay.

George and Barbara had children Flora, Dugald (1820-1857), Benjamin, Ann (1824-16 Mar 1895), Edward, Mary (d. May 3 1898 at age 70), Barbara, Margaret (1835-1837), George, and an unnamed daughter. No son named Neil?

Flora, Barbara and Benjamin were married before 1861, Mararet died in 1837, and Dugald died in 1857.

The Islander – Jan 21, 1859 At Princetown Royalty, on Thursday the 13th instant, by the Rev. Mr. Patterson, Mr. Duncan McGougan, to Barbara, daughter of Mr. George Ramsay.

In 1861, George was the head of a household of 6, in Princetown, PEI. 1 male, 15-21, 2 males (Edward and George), and 2 females , 21-45, (Ann, Mary), 1 male upwards of 60 (George). There were 5 single people, and 1 married, all Presbyterian. Who is the young man? If there was another son he wasn't named in George's will.

At Princetown, on the 11th inst., by the Rev. Robert Laird, George Sinclair, Esq., M.P.P., to Ann, daughter of the late Mr. George Ramsay, both of the above named place. (The Islander 1864)

Benjamin (1835-1892) married Elizabeth Owen, according to the History of Baltic.

The Islander – Jan 2, 1863 Died. At Princetown Royalty, suddenly, on the 28th ultimo, Mr. George Ramsay, an old and respectable inhabitant of that place, aged 77 years.

George's will named sons Benjamin, Edward and George (grist mill and land) and daughters Flora, Ann, Mary, Barbara
