Catherine was the wife of John Hamilton, shoemaker in Summerside, at the time of her brother Edward's death in 1866. In 1869, she and her husband signed a release related to the estate of her brother Edward, selling Catherine's share to her brother James Ramsay for 50 pounds.

Indenture signed 1868 between Arthur Owen and James and Catherine Ramsay; Mary, Janet, Margaret, James (Donald's son), Elizabeth, William and Dorothy Hillman, and John and Catherine Hamilton. Land Conveyances, vol 91 pg 371

Catherine and John went to the States.

Died in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., Minnesota in 1917. Known children: Jane, Margaret, John & Richard.
